SELF DRILL MICRO PILING |

We Specialise in Overcoming Problems of Difficult Access and Complex Ground Conditions Self Drill Micro Piling Micro piling can be defined as small diameter piles, typically less than 150mm, where the pile load is carried structurally predominantly by the pile reinforcement. Hence micro-piles are often relatively heavily reinforced with a substantial full length central reinforcement bar. Micropiles are normally grouted due to small volumes. Branlow Piling Solutions offer a self drill micropile where a central hollow threaded reinforcement bar acts as both final reinforcement in the completed pile and as the drill rod during installation. Branlow self drill hollow thread bar micropiles are installed with sacrificial drill bits under a grout flush. Dywidag MAI and Ishebeck Titan systems amongst others are available. In granular deposits in particular the impregnation of grout into the surrounding ground significantly enhances the geotechnical capacity of the pile. Mass concrete and rock can also readily be drilled. These piles work well as both tension and compression piles and can be installed on a rake or inclined angle to provide reticulated pile solutions.
